Practice sessions are organized by Dave from Team DMV. The better driver usually has a major advantage in combat robots and these practice sessions give everyone a chance to drive in a sporting but friendly manner.
Heck we even sometimes go 3 out of 5 with each pairing so that the “quick push-out” or “unlucky break” doesn’t necessitate a quick departure. Stay in and drive!
And because it’s an open arena, no spinners allowed - everyones’ bot goes home mostly unscathed. A good place to try out new designs, new ideas, & just plain finish before that big event!
Everyone is Welcome - hacked BB toys are usually available for the audience/siblings/others to join in.
